Research info
I just picked up a 1955 Ford F100 on Sunday any one know were i can get info to read the vin on this truck I.E. interior and exterior color what moter and trans came in it ect.Any help would be great.

Others here will have info on your imediate need, but a very good idea would be to buy a Shop Manual. The VIN info and lots of other very valuable stuff is in there. You can get one from MotorHaven (one of the FTE sponsors) and many other sources.

RJ is right on the service manual-mine is stained with grease and sweat on nearly every page.

You managed to stumble into one of the great places on the web. this site is full of tons of information, some of it even correct. The place is full of guys that are not only friendly but knowledgeable too!
Congrats on picking up the new toy. Got any pics of it? If so, set up a gallery so we can see what you have. What are your plans for the truck? major restoration? minor restoration? full blown, blow out all the stops slide into the darkside??
