'73 ford courier key problem

'73 ford courier key problem

hi to all, hoping someone out there can help..I have 73 courier hasn't been run in over 4 yrs. wouldn't start no juice nothing.. found that the wire from ignition wasn't hooked up, so I hooked it to positive battery cable truck starts great now but nothing turns off except engine.. when key is in off position radio, wipers, blinkers you name it it stays on.. what can I do

Where was the loose wire that you connected to the battery... I'm wondering if you might have bypassed the starter solenoid???

That is really a Mazda truck and would be similar in construction to other Mazda cars and trucks of the period. You may be able to find Mazda schematics that would help.
