Since dodge came out with their employee pricing that puts their truck at a pretty good deal compared to what ford and chavy have to offer. And fords new incentives are already out for the next few months from what i understand and they offer no such deal. So i was wondering what a dealership would do for ya if a guy was to price a dodge, then find a ford in a similar configuration, then tell the ford dealership that if they dont match the price or come dang close to the dodge, then thats what he will buy. I personally dont want a dodge, but hey this day and age a truck is a truck, they are all built pretty well. Im a ford guy but im not made of money either.
You may want to re-eval the "but hey this day and age a truck is a truck, they are all built pretty well." statement.
If that was the case, the re-sale value would be the same. The quality would be the same. The crash test rating would be the same. They would be with built with the same design strategy.
As we know, none of these are true when comparing a Dodge to a Ford.
The quality of a Dodge is no where close to Ford. The re-sale value is no where close. And, IMO, one of the most important things, crash ratings, Ford has 5 stars. The Dodge.....I could not even tell you. Mainly because Dodge does not mention the rating in any of there advertising or specs.
Have you been to the Ford site and seen the truth about truck videos? Sure they are bias toward the Ford F-150, and they may be 6 -12 month old, but just looking at it will open your eyes.
