390 ?
I have a 390 with a edelbrock 4 barrel carb.When in park at an idle it is purring but at around 2000 rpm's ,there is a miss. Any suggestions as to where I need to start looking for this problem.Thanks.

Two things - idle should be around 800 RPM, not 2,000. It sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Also, the idle circuit on your carb requires the throttle plate to be closed or nearly closed. If it is maladjusted, the idle circuit does not work (you can not adjust your idle screws).
It sounds to me like you both have carb adjustment problems.
