flowmaster for the V10
#31
$.02 For all it is worth, I have been runnin a dynomax ultra flo "round", 3" in, 3" out, with a full tail pipe. I love this muffler, best one I have put on the truck. Flowmaster is kinda played out for me, and they all sound the same. None of the flowmasters have done very well on a flow bench. The restrictive V-10 needs all the help it can get. As far as back pressure is concerned, you are running cats, way more back pressure here than necessary. Run a muffler that is as free flowing as possible. This will maximize performance. Step up to a good set of headers, and re-fab that crossover.BTW check with your muffler shop about where you mount your muffler. Changing it's location relative to the tailpipe, will change it's sound characteristics. More tailpipe, means more resonance. (more tailpipe is gained by moving the muffler as far foward in the system, not adding to the system.)
