Has anyone out here in FTE land ever sent any guns into Cylinder & Slide? I have been considering sending in my Beretta 96 Vertec in for some trigger work. I also have a Ruger .454 casull that needs a little trigger work.
Sure ther are a couple of local guys here that have good reputations, but C&S is famous for their work, second to none so they say.
I haven't heard of them. There is only one guy I will let touch any of my competiton weapons and that is Steve Cline at Clines Trigger Shop in San Antonio, Texas. If you have the interest, PM me and I will give you his phone number.
Bill Laughridge of Cylinder & Slide was Pistolsmith of the Year for 2005 as voted by the American Pistolsmiths Guild. C & S has been around a long time. I've never had work done by them, but have not heard or read anything negative about their work or parts.
I had trigger work done by Jack Weigand about 10 years ago and my S&W 686 has a perfect trigger. He also answered the phone when I called and was patient and helpful with my questions. Jack won the award in '99.
