Clunk upon acceleration?

Clunk upon acceleration?
I've got an '04 6.0 that when I back down out of my driveway then shift into drive it feels as though something is binding or sticking. I get a clunking noise as soon as the truck begins to move forward. My dealer said this is normal and that it is the Tourgeshift tranny causing the clunk. I just don't feel thats where the noise is coming from its sounds too far back to be the tranny, almost as though the rear brake pads are sticking. Anyone else experience this problem my warrenty is up in 1000 miles.
