P/S pump heat

I finished up the p/s swap. Everything works great. How hot does the pump and fluid get? I have the pump mounted cooler and everything is new or rebuilt. After a road test I noticed the pump is hot. 68' F100 2X4 FE w/ Ford steering

They do get pretty warm, but if you're running a pump mounted cooler, I wouldn't worry too much about it. My ps fluid cooler looks like about six foot of 3/8" steel tubing running back and forth. It must work.

You can use an auto tranny add on cooler if you want more cooling.

In the still cool hours of the night, you can hear chevys rusting away.
