'95 SHO problems
we're thinking its got a vacuum leak somewhere, when the car is idleing you cant notice anything but when its reved a little you can sometimes hear a vacuum like hiss. we've looked around under the car, and replaced a few real bad looking vacuum lines.
trying to do anything on these yamaha motors is like trying to do brain surgery, its a whole differnt world compaired to my old 300.
also, for what its worth the motor mounts are toasted on this car, with the car in gear holding the brake and pushing the gas a little the motor rocks foward and back about 6 or 7 inchs, could that throw the tranny out of wack or something?
if you guys can offer any advice that would be great, hes only had the car a week and its spent the last 5 days just sitting in the drive way.

The tranny issue could be a bad VSS, but see what the codes say.
Reinforced mounts are the only way to go. Best place to get them is HERE.
