Hey all, so this is my first post, its a doozy. So I just got my Evolution tuner for my 04 4.6L and I'm really looking forward to using it. However when I hook it up I get nothing, nada, zip. The troubleshooting in the back of the manual says to check fuses, so I did, I found nothing out of the ordinary all seemed good. Which fuse would control the diagnostic port, I have no owners manual o that is why I'm asking, I always try to resolve my problems before bothering people but I am stumped. I also took my test light to the diagnostic port because I know there should be voltage to at least one terminal, and if my memory serves me two terminals. My other thought is that the diagnostic port is relay controlled perhaps, there was one odd relay in my fuse panel, didnt look factory, it had a very small gauge wire hanging out of it, anybody else seen the relay? The wire is built into it not added by a previous owner or anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've already got a K&N, modified stock airbox, exhaust, and once I get this programmer working I'm gonna get gears, then its play time. Thanks all. J
yes... I've diagnosed the problem to no power at the data link connector, therefore no power to feed the evolution, and therefore no display. there has got to be a fuse for battery power to the DLC. which fuse? If only I had an owners manual. Can anybody supply this info, the fuse panel cover numbers all the fuses but doesn't label thier functions. Thanks all. -J
