Help in need!
Hey guys...in the process of taking off the fan clutch from my 99 f350....i got the rent tools from the autoshop, but i can't get it off. Just to clarify, i am trying to turn the clutch bolt counter clockwise......i have tried to hammer it back and have used all my strength. Is there a trick to this or is it possible to take the bolts off the pulley and remove it on the bench? Much appreciated!

If you are talking about the large nut on the end of the pulley. I almost positive that it is a left hand thread. So you have to turn it the opposite way to loosen it. So if you were try to loosen it like a standard bolt, you are actually tightening it.

Well ....got it all hooked up and runs great! Feels good to repair it yourself and save all the money that a dealership would charge! Thanks to all the folks out here that give advice and helpful tips...it is really appreciated.
