Lowering a 61
I am restoring a 1961 Unibody and I was curious if anyone knew of a company that offers a drop axle for the front? I want to lower it but don't want to go the whole front clip way and I've heard that short coils have a tendency of chewing up tires. Anything you can give me would help me out a lot.

The first thing we have to do is get you unprogramed, so you can get properly educated. There are several members here that have done what you are asking about, and can help you go in the direction that you desire. We don't care what some blotie owner thinks he knows about working on Ford trucks.

61 is a straight axle truck. easiest method is using monoleafs from Detroit spring or Rick allen from Carolina Classics. The monos do not change caster or camber.
I have been trying along with other members to get a 61 to 64 drop axle produced but cant seem to get anywhere with it.
I designed a flip kit for my "Christine" truck but ran into some issues with clearance for the crossmember i made. Need to rethink some aspects of it.
