I have a 1994 f150 with a 302, about 6 months ago i took my muffler and second cat off.........its sounds great but the first cat makes a rattling noise. I took the heat sheild off thinking that was it, but it still makes the noise. I was thinking about running true duals from the manifolds....they both come together into the cat......so i would have to remove it. I caqnt find a test pipe for it anywhere so i think i wanna just cut them both off and run's straight back with two mufflers(one on each seperate pipe...) good idea or bad. and what about o2 sensors they are right befor the cat the two manifolds come together adn there is a bridge were the sensor is screwed in. any problem with that? and what kind of muffler should i run without and cats? i want a nice clean sound pretty loud. like it is now, really deep and throaty........and advise would be awesome....im counten on you guys.
Thanks
Chris Sims
There was a thread in here not more than a week or two ago talking about duals and the O2 sensor. I can't remember what the consensus was, though. A search should turn it up.
Had to cut my cats off had my pcv stick open and suck 7 quarts of oil threw my intake and it mess up my cats too. So had to cut them off and put in pipe in there place. so i just cut it after the O2 sensor truck runs fine that way but we have emistions hear so i will need to put the cats back on. i have flowmasters on the truck and it sound good but it need a cross over pipe it get's a littel rappy on wide open throttle.
