Shift Lever adjustment??
Gotta 99 B4000 4WD. The shift column indicator seems to have "slipped", for lack of a better description. The indicator is a bit to the right of the actual gear indicating when in Park, somewhere in between the P and R -- and Low is off the chart.... I'm used to it, but the other half deems it an issue, and I want to keep her driving.... Is this a simple DIY fix, or a visit to a shop?

Shift indicators are commonly driven by a small cable that attaches to a tube on the steering column. If you drop the panels under the column and common to the dash, you can expect to find this cable. Look for the end of it being attached to the tube with a screw; sometimes it's just a metal clip on the cable that slides onto the tube. Once you get those panels off and have a look at it, it should be pretty self explanitory. This is def not a shop visit.

Shift indicator repaired!!
CowboyBilly9Mile, you giveth sound advice!!
I spent about 45 minutes - most of which was spent either fetchin the right Torx, Phillips or nut driver - or figuring how to contort myself to be able to see with eyes and not by fingers alone - I had the job completed. Some cheapy white plastic clip had snapped, essentially allowing the cable to free play. I did adjust the thumbwheel - its location was pretty obvious as you indicated, and now the shift indicator is aligned again. The broken clip/cable is now held in place now by a simple cable tie.
Thanks for the advice!!
