I need to know what is the best choice for a radiator in my '52 - F1. I running a 3.0 L SHO V6 set up for RWD with a T5 5-speed. I'm figuring on using the forward radiator location (6 - cyl.?) and a radiator mounted electric fan. I'm open to suggestions.
Also, thinking ahead about a gas tank. I'll take suggestions there, too.

Re: the gas tank; what's wrong with the stock location and tank? You'll undoubtedly need to add a return line fitting for EFI, all you need to do for that is have a fitting welded to the filler tube. Clean and coat the tank, you're done! All the alternative locations I've seen are a lot of work and no huge benefit I can see, except that the tank isn't in the cab. I realize that makes some people nervous. If it bothers you, buy a fuel cell.
I'm using a Ron Davis Racing aluminum radiator in my 48 and couldn't be happier. The electric fan mount is built into the radiator, not bolted on so it looks very clean. http://www.rondavisradiators.com/

I want the extra room in the cab. I am 6'4" tall with a 36" inseam so any additional leg room is appreciated. I also will probably run a fuel pump in the tank that matches the correct pressure for the SHO injectors. Granted, I can run a frame mounted electric (and may end up doing that) with the proper pressure.
Check with No limit on the gas tanks, he's got some cool aluminum ones that will work with your application. They mount on the rear frame. As far as radiators, the aluminum ones seem to be the way to go. My friend just purchased one from Sacramento Vintage for his 50 F1. He's running a 5.0 in his, but they may find one or make one to fit your application.

I am using the stock tank with Ranger split bench seats. In my case the fuel tank does not prevent the seat from going back as far as it can until it hits the rear of the cab. In short, the stock fuel tank removal would not increase my seating length at all.

I looked in your gallery. I like the looks of your radiator. In that I will run the same powertrain as you, is there a trans cooler built in? What about AC? And if I may ask, how steep was the cost?
Check out some of the links below. Most of them have searchable catalogs that will give you the dimensiions of the radiators and where the inlets/outlets are and what size they are. Find a radiator you like then order it from the local parts house.
I ended up using a mid 70's Dodge 3/4 ton truck 4 core radiator in my truck.
Why are the online companies selling radiators over $200 more than the local store shops???
They should have less overhead than brick and mortar companies.
I agree!!!
That why its best to do the research online and then see if the local parts stores can get the radiator in. After I found the right application I went to the online part of my local parts house and found the part #, then went to the store and asked them for it, they they had to order it in but they didn't charge me extra to do it. I think I spent $125 on the radiator.

I like it too. IMO, I think it is one of the best built aluminum radiators on the market. One of their tech guys said it would cool anything I would ever throw at it, so far so good. The trans cooler is not built in, it could probably be added. I didn't really need it because I'm running an external trans cooler. There is no A/C condensor built in, I'm not sure if they could do that or not. I had not won my A/C system from Vintage Air yet (Yes I won it) so it wasn't a concern, but when I get everything hooked up I will add my own condensor. I'm not sure of the cost since it was a birthday present from my parents, but I can find out if you would like. I will try to get a picture of how the electric fan mounts. Any more questions, just ask.
Hotrod. Good birthday present! You folks must be really in tune. Thanks for the info.
Yeah it was a great one and they are in tune. My dad had the truck for a few years and before I turned 16, I took it from him. Everything I have done so far, he has said he wanted to do. No problem for the help.

I need one for a six cylinder truck, the V8 one doesn't work in the six cylinder position. Since the Ron Davis radiator is based off the stock one, I think the stock air deflector will work, just need to find one.
