Passive Anti-theft system

88 2.9L to 2000 4.0L conversion. Any ford tech out there know enough about the system by-pass. Doing conversion and need help

I don't think your going to find anyone here that's going to tell you how to by-pass the PATS system. This question has been asked before. The information was not provided.

That's kinda like giving anyone who would read that post a license to steal a vehicle equipped with that system....

Also, why did you post this same subject in the Ranger forum?? I notice you have no replies to that post.....

I am looking for any sugestions. I would think some has allready this conversion and has run into the same problem. I am trying to find someone who can tell me it the PATS module communicates with the PCM through the data bus line or if it get a signal thru the GEM. Does anyone know if a OBD II PCM can function alone. As for anyone wanting to steal I don't think the average car theft is going to be carring a NGS, Gynesis, or other scan tools and wiring schematics to by pass the system.

Well, seeing as how this is the 2004-2006 F-150 forum your question doesn't really belong here. I would move it to the Ranger forum but you already posted there. Just wait for someone to respond to that post. Give it a day. Good luck!
