Well, my '89 F350 (see signature) gets bout 10 towing and 15 empty. You should see somethin around that according to the gear ratio you have. hope that helps.
my 1990 7.3L 4x4 f-250 has the e4OD and 4.10 gears. i see 19mpg on the highway when i set the cruise at 70mph. if i drive it hard around town or in stop and go traffic, i see 14 or 15.
Im avg. 12 and it seemed low my 2001 avg. 21 on the hwy Im not expecting to get that out of this truck but time to start looking at what could be causing the poor mileage
My 93' F250 Factory Turbo with the ZF5 and 3:55 axle gets about 19.5 mpg with the K&N upgrade.
Check/replace your air filter with a K&N Filter and replace the factory air inlet duct with a 4" diameter fresh air intake. That will help your milage considerably (as much as 10% better)
A dirty OEM paper air filter can really affects milage.
Check you turbo for boost. At 62 mph, level road, no load, you should be getting about 3.0 psig of boost. If you don't have boost it will affect your milage.
I have a K/N air system on the truck and clean reg. But not shure I understand what your talking about with turbo boost. Can you explain further? Thanks
