I am having some difficulty finding the correct flywheel for my truck. The motor was a 351m that had lost the rear main seal. This took out the clutch. I was going to rebuild it but instead bought a 400 off E-bay. I bought a fancy Centerforce clutch ( Dual-Friction) but it has a large bolt circle to bolt to. I checked the part # for my flywheel, and I needed either a D7TE-6375A or a D7TE-6375B, this is according to Bubbas' M Workshop. The Part # that I removed from the original 351M has the part # D7TE-6380. The clutch set I removed was a 12 inch disc with a small patterned Long style pressure plate. I need to know which flywheel I need to bolt on so my clutch set will work. The spacing is in a large circular pattern. Any help would be appreciated as I have been through 4 clutch sets so far and none will bolt to my old flywheel, and I can't find a flywheel that will accept the big clutch, which I would prefer to use but, at this point I just want to use my truck, it has been 2 years so far. I also have a goofy three speed in the truck. It is geared very high, but that is a whole other issue.
Please be aware
Part casting numbers are different than Ford Part numbers.
Have you checked with any of the Ford part web sites ?
How about FTE sponsor sites. www.rockauto.com is good place for a part search
This is also more of a specific drivetrain question than a 73-79 truck question.
There are guys in the drvetrain forum that do swaps all the time , maybe post in there as well.
Btw, No need for blue or a change of font.
Some FTE people have difficulty with some Fonts, type & colours.
Maybe just use the FTE default system like most people do ?
