Hi all. Have F-150 FX4 2003 XLT SuperCrew with like 32000 on it and all of a sudden I tapped the brakes and they eventually went to the floor after a few subsequential pumps after the first tap. If I stab the brakes it stays put. I have been reading a few posts about this and there are a few that describe this problem to a T, but none are for this application.
Basically it goes to the floor and I have like rear brakes and thats it. Seems like once they go out the ABS goes too.
No leaks whatsoever. No brake work whatsoever. I am going to blead out the brakes and make sure that there is no air in the lines and then I will probably throw a MC at it.
Any other thoughts would be appreciated. Actually this maybe a stupid question, but is there an ABS relay or pump relay/fuse that could open and cause this?
Thanks.

there are or should not be any elec components that would fail and cause you to loose brake pedal. i am not 100% on your (our) set up but it sounds like the mc or the abs valve. but also you could have a sticky cylinder (doubt it) that is only working some times, the cheapest thing is to take the wheels off and inspect the system, lube the sliders, adjust the adjusters and check the overall system before you throw parts at it.
hope this helps
I'd be looking at your master cylinder. I had a 90 aerostar that was notorious for the junky master cylinder. I know these are better made but you're describing the same symptons I was having with that ******* of a van every 6 to 8 months.
This is just great...I found out that some 2003 F-150 FX4 SuperCrews have 2004 parts in them including master cylinders and I think we all know how the 04 MC's are.
I am going to do a full inspection on the brakes/wheels/MC and make sure that everything looks ok.
Right now I have the 04 MC on order for my 2003 and I am going to pick it up on Tuesday.
