54 grill

Does anyone know when the grill in the 54's were changed to the gull wing shape?

I thnk the grill was modified in '55 and then again in '56 personally I like the 54' with the dual fence posts

The 53/56 grilles were changed each year, all are nice. My favorites are 53 & 56.

I concur with Fomoko1; I like the 53 grilles that have the little diecast teeth on the top side of the lower horizontal bar. I think they are all interchangeable 53-56. I've seen more than one 54 hiding behind a 56 grille. The 54 grille is unique; most similar to 51, 52. I like the 54 too.
