What would you do?

I'm currently doing some body work on my 95 F-250 (replacing drivers front fender, aligning doors, removing wheel well trim and side trim, filling some dents with bondo). I'm planning on spraying the rocker panels and wheel wells with bedliner a few inches up the side for chip protection and to look good. I will also be repainting it of course.

Would you guys do the bedliner first and then mask it off and paint the body, or paint the body and risk getting bedliner overspray on it?

I'm thinking I'll do the bedliner first, Just seems like it would be easier that way and I'd have less to mask off.

If you put the effort into masking things properly, you won't have any overspray. This is regardless whether you do the bedliner, or the body paint, first.

I'm with you though, I'd paint the bedliner material first, then spray over that with the body color on the rockers. The bed I'd mask off and leave the bedliner exposed.

PAINT THE BODY FIRST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is much easier to mask paint, which is a smooth surface, than to mask bedliner, which is an uneven surface. You get a much crisper, cleaner line doing it in this order.
Also consider using the bedliner tape that has wire built into it for a really nice clean edge. Practice first, to know when to remove it.

I applied bed liner to the bottom edge on my truck today. From front to back and rockers. I prefer not to have it on the side of the bed and fender.
I will then bc cc it.
