battery configuration question

battery configuration question
I just want to understand the electrical system a little better.
Regarding the 7.3L dual batteries. They are wired in parallel correct ? They are not isolated ? Does each alternator (mine has dual) charge each battery ? Are they both connected to the starter ?
I'm familiar with parallel and series wiring. My boat has 3 batt's wired in series for my 36 volt trolling motor.
I was just curious .. thanx guys !
