possible cracked intake manifold?
ever since i've owned the truck (about 2 years), oil pools up between the front two runners on both sides of the intake manifold. i always assumed it was leaky valve covers- it never seems to cause too much trouble.
yesterday, i took the truck out for a run- when i got back, i popped the hood- and noticed that the oil pool on one side was bubbling...
it wasn't boiling- the truck was at normal operating temp, and it never overheats. plus, the bubbles were only coming from one spot...almost like air was coming up from a hole/crack in the intake manifold?
is this possible? it's the stock cast-iron manifold on a 360.
i tried to clean it up to take a look, but it's so filthy that i couldn't see anything.
thanks,
sam
