door speaker broke?

door speaker broke?

hey my driver side door speaker is not working. i checked the wires going to it and everything but no luck i first had the stock one in when it started not to work than an aftermarket speaker, and no luck either, any ideas???

I guess you have the mach radio? Check for signal at the harness behind the kick panel. If no signal check the leads behind the radio. Probably just a split wire in the door boot.

I had the same issue with one speaker not working. Not until I replaced the speaker and the radio did I locate the cause. Some Expedition stereos have an amplifier mounted on the firewall behind and below the stereo. The output from the amp for the speaker was not working. I had already replaced the stereo with a new one with high level outputs so I bypassed the amp and connected the new stereo to the new speakers directly.
