Small irritating problem maybe someone else has had.
I STILL LOVE MY TRUCK
After de-accelerating I have a lag or dead spot when I push back down on the accelerater.
Any Ideas men.
Someone mention could be a bad or defective switch on pedal.

Yep, sounds like a bad potentiometer on the pedal. It's a complete assemby and you purchase a new pedal to fix the problem. I've had mine replaced twice. There used to be a recall on those, but that expired a year ago. I think it was for late 2001-2002 models.

How much time are you talking about in your "lag" The engine on fast decelerations like coming to a stop and under 30mph does stop firing injectors so it is all of a sudden quiet like it shut off. Is that what you are referring to or more of a lag in the sense of back lash?
