2006 Rusty Bumper

I have a 2006 F350 and I noticed that the rear bumper was starting to rust at 6000 KM. The dealer said they could buff it out but I said no way as it will just return. They have now agreed to give me a new bumper(11,000 KM).
Is this a random rust case or have they a problem?

my 06 when it had 7000km the front bumper was rusting. mines a sport package so the bumper is painted. all they did was a repaint

Stranger to rust in the Pacific Northwest. Should be a warranty item though.

I have heard of guys with issues on the 05 also. My 05 is fine.

no rust on my 05,, while under my 03 I noticed the rear bumper was rusted all over on the back side (out of sight),, pulled it off and wire brushed off, primed and painted,, not sure it would ever have rusted through but did not like what I saw,,
