Quick Questions

It is time to kill the buzzer if only I can find it. Seems I have the general area but I do not see it little lone feel it when it chimes, can it be destroyed, elimanated never to bother me again or is this ?.
Also where do I find the computer, thought it maybe in the passenger side kick panel area but would like to make sure before I start dismantling the truck just on a hunch. Thanks guys.

go to your manual.......it will tell you (it has something to do with standing one one leg and playing twister) No really there is a step by step process listed in your manual.

I believe it is listed under "seat belt chime disable" or something like that...

If it's for the seatbelt what you have to do with both doors closed
put key in ignition

switch to on (without turning on the engine)

wait untill the air bag light goes off

once it goes off then you have to buckle and unbuckle the seat belt nine times
(buckle and unbuckle... that's one, buckle and unbuckle...that's two, etc... and by the way you only have a minute to do this)

once you do this then the air bag light will go on and off 4 times very rapidly

once it's done this then you have to buckle and unbuckle one more time and it's done.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info guys,I found a short term solution to shut the seat belt chimes down, while sitting in the seat, when the chimes started, push the release button in and hold until they stop. You will have to do this each time the truck is restarted. I like the permanant solution the best. The key chime seems to be the tricky one.

Just spent an hour trying to deactivate the seat belt chimes as the manual says to do do,did nothing but screw up the instrument panel as well as not allowing me to start the truck,it turned over as it would with very low to dead batteries. But yet showed ample voltage...So my conculsion on this part will be to just disconect the plug. Finally fired up but not the way it should have.I still would like to get rid of the key chimes, found a purple / black wire from the ignition to a six wire plug under the dash, when it was unplugged the chimes no longer worked, but to leave this unplugged may deactivate other things ? Buzzed out at the moment play again later.....

Do you just repeat the same process to enable the seatbelt chime?
