52 F6 Question

I can't remember, did the 52 F6 have the 239 or the 337 Flathead V8 in it.

Thanks Rod

Rod,

If that F6 has a 337 that might be pretty neat huh?

Cheers,

Rick

I'm hoping it's the 239 8ba the 337 from what I understand is a red haired stepchild.

F6 engine

The F6 for 1952 has a 239 flattie when V8 equipped. I know because I have one I bought from the original owner, and it is a bone stock original truck. The shop manual for these trucks also indicates that. The 337 Lincoln motor was in the F7 and F8 trucks. I do know that sometimes the 337 was put in for more power by dealers, but it didn't take many years to where the Y-blocks took that over. Farmers on this side of the state used to do that repower thing pretty commonly.

Regards,

Bob in Spokane

In '52 F7 and F8 had the new Y blocks. 279 and 317 cid respectively.

Also the 215 six cylinder replaced the 226 flathead that year.
