need some expert ford advice

I am thinking of building a 86 4 door f-350 4x4 460 engine c-6 tranny and cut down the bed to a short bed.
1. has anyone done this
2. will 250 and 350 parts of say 1984-1986 interchange
3.any sources for interior parts for these trucks
I have a 86 f-150 regular cab that is in mint condition just not enough room I made it a 4x4 not a big deal I used a bronco for a donor just unbolt and bolt back up no big deal. If anyone can give some feedback on this project I would appreciate it thanks.

ive seen it done before, someone on pirate4x4 did it, and ive seen it before on a couple other sites, so its possible. just have to shorten your driveshaft. the 1 ton drivetrain shouldnt be too hard to put in place of your 1/2 ton stuff. it seems to be a very managable project as long as you know what you are doing.

2) The reason the 80-86 trucks have a forum is because they interchange with each other.
