They may bolt right in, but that's too much gas. The 4.0L injectors are about 18lbs, so a 30lb injector is a bit overkill. However, if you have a custom exhaust (everything, headers to tips), underdrive pulleys, throttle body spacer, larger throttle body, high performance ignition and a K&N intake, you may be able to have the larger injectors. But if you put them on there, you will definately have to get a reprogrammer. You might want to call Bama. I have never used their product before, but according to everyone that has, they design the reprogrammer based on what information you give them about your mods.

Yeah, the 30s will work with the supercharger. But doesn't the supercharger already come with larger injectors?

If you buy the super charger from explorer express, it will have the upgraded injectors, tune, and all the other stuff you will need for a direct bolt in.

Don't forget, the mass air meter is calibrated for a certain size injector. They go hand in hand.

Not exactly. Some aftermarket companies trim MAFs to go along with certain sized injectors to "adjust" the input to the EEC to correct the fuel trim for the larger injectors. These meters just fool the computer into thinking there is more or less air entering the engine so the computer remaps the fuel curve. Remember, a MAFs job is to measure the air mass into the engine and nothing else, the transfer curve is totally independent of the injector size.

There is a parameter in the EEC that allows you to set the injector size and then the EEC adjusts its fuel maps accordingly. That is the CORRECT way to compensate for new injectors.
