1992 FSB 302 and 5 speed manual hubs and transfer case.
There is black grease looking stuff (not really sure what it is, so I'm using the technical terms ) on my bronco's front wheels. It looks like it is coming out from around the hubs so I think it is the bearings/seals on the axle. If that is indeed what it is how hard is it to change these on my truck.
If its on the inside of the wheel, its your seal. But if your talking about the outside, Its probubly just a little grease geting past your o-rings on the lock hubs. Its fairly common. Some people think tightening the allen screws will help. This is not so. The allen screws lock the hub to the inner workings which kind of float between snap rings. They dont lock the hub to the outter hub. About the only thing you can do is put a new o-ring in and/or spread a little silicone on it.
