springs?

how much fab if any to put front springs from a 78ish f150 into an 86? what about bout the leafs in the rear? close, same/? lots of fab?

I'll take a stab at it. I believe that springs from any 73-96 1/2 ton will work in your truck without any fabrication at all. It's just a bolt in deal. I know that you can use rear springs from a 3/4 ton to give you extra load carrying capabilities.

that is kinda what I figured, I wanted someone that knows for sure to just verify, I appriciate it. the reason I need to know is I know some one that has an 8 inch lift on his truck and will sell me everything for 30 dollars. needless to say I want to take him up on that deal.

oh yeah, don't I know. and the local junk yard has a f250 with I think 8 bolt axles and dana 60/70 for 150 with the drive shafts and everything you need what do you think about that action? good to know people right?
