Painting a truck with John Deere Paint

I am building a pulling truck and it will be painted like a John Deere. In fact the dealer that my father works at gave us the paint and thinner. Question is... Are there any special things that I need to do before paint? We are going for the 25 yard paint job (as long as it looks OK from that far away we are OK). The truck will only be trailered to pulls 10 - 12 times per summer and will be stored inside so durabillity isn't a huge concern. We have sanded all body panels with 400 grit (I think it was).

Thanks,

Chris

Sounds like you're ready to paint. I sanded mine with 320 then painted it with the John Deere Black. Its fine no peeling or anything. Good luck.
