Well I can report that easy off doesn't work, cleaner for stainless steel BBQ;s doesn't work and neither does WD40 (it claims to clean adhesive). So CTC here I come.
i cannot say that this has happened to me in some time now , but the last time it did i used some gasoline on a green scrubby pad from the kitchen and all was well . you need not rub too hard to damage the paint underneith, but it does a pretty good job you only need to do a good wax afterwards

The stuff has dried to the consistency of pebbles, I think the clay option from Mcguires is the best bet.
Got side tracked by an emergency trip to the dentist. Don't much feel like doing anything right now.
the gasoline idea should still work rather well rub it on with a good cloth and the marbles should soften up enough to get to them with a plastic bondo aplicater, then repeat the gas and softly scrub it down with the kitchen green and yellow pot cleaning spounge.
Paint the rest of the truck to match the road paint!! Sorry couldn't help myself
I would try a reducer or similar solvent, just be gentle and wash the area once you done. A good wax should bring the shine up if it dulls the finish at all.
