HELP !! Petronix Ignitor Installation
Lynch, just a note on ballast resistors. You can use a ballast with an HEI coil, and it will work just fine. However, you won't be getting the full advantage of the high energy coil. With the HEI coil, the sparkplug gap should be widened. This widened gap, combined with the higher voltage coil, gives a "hotter" spark. If you have the coil ballasted, the spark will not jump as wide a gap, and essentially it works just like the stock coil.
