Expy optional equipment

I was just in the process of taking out the factory radio in my expy and putting in a aftermarket when I noticed I have the wiring harnesses for all the optional quipment in my car. For intance next to my light switch there is a oval black cover that when taken apart has a wiring harness in it. Also on the other side it looks like there is space to put in 3 switches which I don't have. So I guess what I am asking is if anyone has pictures of what actually goes there, and if anyone can tell me what goes there. I want to do a lot of things to my 05 expy that didn't come with the car, thanks.

If you've got your owner's manual, I think it'll show those options. Interesting that you have the wiring, wonder if you can just add the switches. Is your's an xlt or eb?

I think someone had posted earlier in the year that they all (newer models) come prewired for all the bells and whistles. But being prewired is one thing. Plug and play might be a different story. Good Luck!

Well I just hooked up fog lights and they worked just needed to get the right switch. So right now I'm looking on eBAY and see a bunch of people have up for sale the heater\AC controls that are digital. If I got this for my expy would it work? I'm talking about these Climate Control, right now I have the regular controls and I don't have any back vents (but I've been looking into does this upgrade).

Blahboo, I too have an 05 XLS. What kind of fog lights did you get and from where? And did the switch come with the fog lights? If not, where did you get it and what kind is it. I've been wanting to do the same thing. Let me know how the climate control upgrade goes. Thanks, Matt

I actually got my fog lights off of car-parts.com they sell used parts and I got one from one dealer and another from another dealer. Cost me $25 +10 shipping for one of the lights and I asked the other guy to pull out the fog lamp switch and send me the other light and the tow hooks for the front of my expy and it cost me $60 shipped. So total I got the switch, both tow hooks, and both fog lamps for about $100 . If you got just the lights they run about 25-35 each plus shipping.
