I have a 1968 F-100 with 44,000 original miles on it.I would like to
convert the manual steering to power,i need a parts list and instruc-
tions. I am also converting my drum brakes to disc,i have that info.,
but i need to know how to convert my manual steering to power, and the parts involved?
I am using a 1974 truck as a doner for my disc brakes.
Any and all info. will be greatly appreciated.
Copied and pasted from two posts up.
I have done this conversion, and have posted many times about how to do it. If there is only one thing that you glean from my posts, Find a donor like your truck and BUY it and KEEP it until you have completed your conversion. Moving everything from one truck to the other will eliminate your kind of problems. Runnning here and there for parts is looking for trouble.
Can't afford to buy the donor, I sold parts that I didn't use and my conversion parts became free.
