excessive drive line play?
Also, the differential obviously has this much play in the backlash to allow the shaft to rotate that far. The ujoints are tight so all play is in the tcase and diff. Is this too much in the diff?
There is also a maddening chatter in the drive train when starting from a stop. Is it possible that the factory limited slip can cause a chatter like a clutch? I think I can rule out a clutch as this is the 3rd ford dealer replacement clutch disk and pressure plate (though all they sell are rebuilt stuff) and I bought theirs because I had bad experience with an after market grabby clutch in another truck.
