I'm about to my wits end.. i'm tired all the time, have very little energy pretty much all the symptoms of a mal-functioning thyroid. What's strange is every so often it will get better for a couple weeks. But as I get older the good periods get less frequent. It's common in my family, my dad and older sister have it. I've talked to the doctor and she said everythings fine. In fact other 2 doctors said the same. I hate to see 2-3 more doctors to figure out whats wrong, there's also diabetes in the family. There's a product call Thyroid Assist (I think) a natural treatment. Does anybody have any experiences with these products? My dad uses regular medication but it causes his hands to shake quite badly.. i'm hoping the natural products would be better.
First you have to define the problem is it HYPER or HYPO thiroidism i guess theres a difference in symptoms and treatment next try to look into herbs there are a lot of homeopathic remadies for things like that usually a lot cheaper too my .02
If you are on any type of blood pressure meds they can do that to you. I had the same thing happening with me and started taking Omega 3 and other vitamins for cardio and got off of the meds. I'm now the energizer bunny.
Did your doctors ever concider sleep apnea? Maybe you are not getting enough quality sleep.
I used to be tired all the time and had a sleep test done. I was not getting the quality of sleep I thought because of sleep apnea.
No blood pressure meds, although mom has high blood pressure. Sleep apnea I don't think I have. The fiancee' says I mumble sometimes or snore real loud when i'm extremely tired but she hasn't said anything about me choking or anything similar. Had a friend with sleep apnea. It looks like those pills are $30 for 2 months. I may give that run before I spend a couple thousand with the doctor wouldn't hurt I guess.
