14 inches of lift? may i ask how??!!

i would stick to something in the 4-6" range if you are gonna be driving it on the road. much taller than that and it starts to want to drive itself. however i usually tell people to pick out the tires they want to run FIRST and then modify the truck as necessary.

I would run 33" tires and 3.96 gears and a 3.5" suspension lift. Get the fenders cut just right with bushwacker fender flares.

Or 35" with 4.11 gears, 37" tires with the 5.5" lift and 4.56 or 4.27 in the front and 4.30 in the rear.

arond 2500 rpm peak torque-3.96-4.56
around 4000 rpm peak toruqe-4.27-4.88 depending on tire size.
If you are interested here is an rpm calculerer for engine speed at vehicle speed

I like think of it in terms of lift and tire size. 3+" lift and 33" tires, 5+" lift and 35 tires.

Thing is that depending on the tires, your axles need different gearing. You may also then want a different tranny, so it depends on how far you want to go. I love the look of my 3.5" lifted truck with 33's and it has great road-handling.

Also, depends on the kind of lift too in that too much suspension can cause strain on the drivetrain due to pinion angles and driveshaft length being used up.

Good luck!

At how much lift does it create enough drag to slow you down? Off topic I know.
