wiper arm removal?

I was wondering how to remove the wiper arms on my '96 so I could paint them? Also what is the cheapest best quality 4" lift?

Thumbs up

On my 93 I'm pretty sure there is a tab that you push in that allows you to slid it off of the drive shaft. You may just want to get some new ones, I preped, primed, painted, and clear-coated mine and it still came back off pretty quickly. Plus they get bent over time and don't meet the glass as close as they should. I'm planning on buying new ones and clear-coating them before I put them back on.

The tab at the point where the arm and shaft come together has to be pulled out just a bit to allow you to slide the arm off the shaft. You can wiggle the arm a bit to help the tab move, and sometimes you can pull it with your fingers....if not then use a pair of needle nose.

I took mine off and painted them flat black (I also did the windshield trim the same way) cleaned them first with prepsol and then two coats of rustolium flat black.....that was like two years ago and its holding up fine.
