I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and can tell me what it is.
This seems to come and go, getting progressively worse. After coming out of a turn (usually sharp) it feels like one of the wheels is out of alignment. I have to keep the steering wheel about 45 degrees off center and then all of a sudden it will swing back in the opposite direction (While the steering is turned 45 degrees the power steering pump is louder than usual). I have checked both the tie rods and the ball joints for play they seem to be fine. My thoughts are possiblty a hub locking, brake grabbing, u-joint (in the front axle), power steering pump or maybe even the tie rods or ball joints.
If any one could help it would be much appreciated.
Raise the front of the vehicle off the ground and chk for binding in the steering components.
You can chk front hub/axles by trying to turn them by hand at the u-joints behind the knucles.
