I am installing a 351 in a 48 f1 . The truck has a camero front clip so i had to make some motor mount "adapters" (raised motor 2.5 inches so the oil pan would clear}. I am now almost ready to install the engine but i need to know, if anybody can tell me, how much lower to make the rear of the engine than the front of the engine. I don't know if there is a specific amount of drop or just "what ever fits and looks ok" any help welcome.
Generally, an angle of 3 degrees is about right. Intake manifolds are cut at 3º to the front so that the carb sits level when the rear is 3º lower.
Camaro front clip you say? I'm about to get a couple of '50 F1s and I'm planning to install my 351C in one of them. Thinking about using the front clip off of an '84 Lincoln Town car chassis I have, depending on how the width shakes out. Camaro though...I dunno...

thanks for the info. I thought 2 or 3 degrees was about right. The camero front clip on an f1 is a good ft (almost the same width) and it lowers the front end.
