i have the factory jewel effect headlights on my 2002, and i have the silverstars in both the fogs and the headlights, and love them. i also have the upgraded harness that supplies more juice to them too. they are extremely bright. you would not believe how many people flash their highs at me, only for me to flash them back. i run high beams with low beams, with fogs all at the same time, and it looks like a little blob of sunshine going down the road in front of you.
I like the guys at IPCW and they import the parts as APC, but I am tickled with my setup. Those will be made in Twain or china, ect.
I have an 02 with the clear 03 lights and Piaa superwhite bulbs. The Piaas are very expensive, but you can't compair them to the blue tented xenon bulbs. I did have the APC projectors in it at one time, but the 03's with Piaa bulbs seemed nicer.
I just replaced my 99 headlights with the newer style jeweled lights. Bought Ford OEM headlights from discountfordparts.com for 200 bucks - 65 dollars cheaper than the dealer. Plus, I know they are quality parts since they are from Ford. I was concerned that the aftermarket crap would leak water, etc. They are really nice - bright too. Go that route.
I did my 02 with the new jeweled set and it made a huge difference. Took less than $100 and about 15 min. I also done the clear corners and have no regrets. Do shop around because prices can and do vary alot...
I have an 2004 psd with 05-06 headlights. It took a little modification but you cannot tell. Truck actually looks like an 05-06. What I did was some minor modification to the header panel (you have to becareful it is only fiberglass and not to cut to much). Also had to cut the head light wires because of the different socket on the back of the headlight. it is possible to replace the header panel instead of cutting it.
you have the silverstars for your fogs 2 Strokin where did you get them
yes silverstars (i belive 9005??) i got them off ebay. i bought all four bulbs for about $67 i believe, a great deal. with the harness and the diode, i can run high beams, low beams, and fogs- with the new lift, it will shine out ALOT farther. it must be blinding for those poor cars.
