Hey all, I think I found a pretty good deal an 89 F-350 reg.cab 4x4,7.5 C6, new paint (factory color) spray in bed liner,4in lift with 35" BFG's 160k miles for $3500. I know the driveline well but what about the body, computer stuff, anything not driveline related I should focus on? I am looking this afternoon. Thanks!
89 should be EFI, and the computer should be able to give codes. Easy way to test to see if anything obvious is wrong without digging through sensors with an ohmmeter.
For the body, check all the ususal spots for rust. Bottom of the radiator support, spring/shock perches, underside of the cab floor, cab corners, body mounts, wheel well lips inside and out, and so on.
