Came here looking to see if I should trade in my POS Titan. Not impressed with what I've been reading so far. No sense in trading in one POS for another. Somebody give me some hope.
i have an 06 king ranch and absolutely love it!! first ford to own! no complaints. i have about 7500 miles on it and absolutely no problems. very sturdy and runs great. i have done a few mods, check out my gallery to veiw the mods. everyone that rides or sees my truck loves it. get rid of the nissan and buy the ford, you will have no regrets. my buddy that owns an 06 titan wishes he would of gone the ford route.
I love my 06 Lariat and I loved my 04 FX4. I would recommend this truck to anyone. Keep in mind that you're going to find more complaints then compliments on any site centered around a product or service. Research, test drive and then Do it!
Just to be clear... I had a few things fixed on my 04. Rear window rattled, fog light leaked, and there was something else too but I cant remember. Awesome truck though. I wouldn't have bought an 06 if I wasn't as happy with my 04.
Well dad just bought one. 2006 F150, XLT, Super Crew, 4x4, 5.4L flex fuel engine. Runs like a top. Solid, not one problem. About 4000 miles so far.
You are going to find complaints here. This is where people go when they have problems. What you're not seeing are the thousands of people NOT having problems (why bother posting that), or the ones that dont even know FTE exists! I can assure you though, people are a lot more likely to search out a place like FTE if they have problems than if everything is working great.
I guess what I'm saying is, dont get scared off by what you read on internet boards. These really are great and reliable trucks.

On that note Rusty.. My only problem and regret is not purchasing this truck sooner than when I did. I still would like to have my ol' 3L Ranger back in a heart-beat ... But I do like the xtra *Bump* of power ...the cab space and the ruggedness that was put in my trusty XL.. I did like a lot things I saw on the GM trucks ....but when it came to my Checklist and the Pros and Cons.. the 150 was out ahead. I even had the opportunity to use my GM suppliers Discount, but that still wouldn't have turned my head.
So simply put...If I were to do it over again... I'd still purchase the 150...
Too bad you got a bad Titan, but the F150 is going to be a good truck for you. As said before about forums, everything on the Colorado forums and the GTO forums made them sound like they were nothing but trouble but we have yet to experience any problems with the GTO and I only traded the Colorado because I wanted an F150 originally anyway. Go drive them several times and decide for yourself. I think you will be pleased with the Ford.
06 Super Crew, 5000 mi. only problem I have is the wife likes it a little too much. Actually I bought it for her, she and I love it. My current truck is an 03 Duramax, no problems, when I replace it it will be a Ford Diesel (PSD or what ever it is called at the time)
Well I can't speak for the 06 but I have an 04 FX4 that I got in December of 03. 45,000 miles and not one single problem. Took it in for 30,000 mile service and everything was good and tight. I'm sure an 06 will be just as good.
12000 miles in 5 months - Absolutely love the truck
My truck works hard & plays hard (Commercial contractor with a Boat)
I looked at every truck on the market - even diesel, and almost got lured to the dark side (import) by the Titan. After exhausive research and looking I bought the F150.
DEFINITELY made the right choice. I NEVER see another truck on the road and think "there's a nicer truck than mine".
