Anyone have one of these they are not using and would sell? Ford calls it a fuel delivery module, it goes on the driver's side frame rail, has two lines going in and out. Mine is cracked and leaking fuel. Ford no longer makes it. Can someone help?
That's all, when I went back to work I went to your website and found out what I wanted to know. Do you like CPD for parts lookup? When I was a parts mgr, we used Microcat for parts lookup and it had places where you had to fill in the blanks. CPD looks very informative.
I have a 1988 Escaper Class C RV on a Ford E350 chassis with a 7.5 ltr engine and I needed to replace the inline fuel pump. Between the fuel tank and the inline high pressure fuel pump is this black plastic unit with 4 fuels lines on it (I guess 2 going in and 2 going out) that is mounted to the driver's side frame rail. There is nothing wrong with this original unit (no cracks, no leaks) but I understand that this OEM unit is no longer available but has been replaced with part number FOTZ 9K044-A FTE and it all has something to do with a fuel delivery or reserve system (or something like this). Anyway, when I unscrewed the can I expected to find a filter element inside but to my surprise it was empty. Can anybody explain to me what this unit is supposed to do and should it contain a strainer or fuel filter. If yes, does anybody know the part number for this strainer or filter. Without a filter element in there the high pressure fuel pump down the line really has no protection. However there is a proper fuel filter installed in line after the fuel pump, which will protect the injectors, but the way my set up is the fuel pump is not so lucky. That's probably why it froze up in the first place. So far I am utterly confused. Please help with some good info! - Thanks
