Hey Guys, I'm Back.........
Hi all,
I may be back in the owners group of a 1948 F-3. My best friend and I worked out a deal. I would give him my truck and he could pay me when he had the chance or, he could do the body work on the truck and I would pay him for his time and materials. (I had to do that since I did not have the time to do all the prep work due to my very hectic schedule) Seems that he does not want the truck (he wants an F1 that he can get body parts for and turn it into a hot rod) so I will probably be getting the truck back RUNNING and ready for paint. He has the truck completely dismantled and has replaced all the rotted metal. He has the front fenders done, and has the bed (The worst part of the truck) taken apart. I think the work involved to turn an F-3 into a hot rod truck discouraged him. I am very glad to be getting the truck back running and ready for paint. I will probably drive it around for a while in primer grey until I can afford a good paint job. The truck will remain as original as possible. So, I will be back in full swing by the end of summer (target completion date of the prep work) with all of my dumb questions about where to get glass, seat covers, floor mats and all that kind of stuff. Glad to hear that it worked out for you. There are no dumb questions, there are however those questions that will bring a whole rash of smart alek answers. They are all good!

Welcome back John. Hope to see the truck soon, let's make a point to get it to the Dells this year. Who knows, if work ever slows down around here I just might have the '48/51 F-4 on the road by then and together we'll have three trucks there.
