Its a 99 EB with 125k, it started missing a couple of days ago while it sat for almost 3 days straight without starting it. Got the service engine soon light, pulled the code and turned out to be cop #4, changed it out and it ran great for a day and half. Again doing the same thing missing badly and running really rough took it to my mechanic, he hooked up the comp and was showing the same cylinder #4 so he went ahead and repaced the injector on it, ran great for a day and started doing same thing. I dont know what else to do, does anybody know whats causing this help me out thanks in advance.
Could a bad oxygen sensor cause this, my mpg dropped a whole lot in the past few days. I was getting 12-12.5 mpg in the city and now it dropped to like 10.9- 11 anybody??
My 2000 EB was running poorly and missing badly - no codes thrown though - so I bit the bullet and changed the plugs and the COP's on 4 and 8. Also changed out all the boots putting a reasonable amount of dielectric grease on them. The boot on number 3 was torn and shorting out and the plugs really needed to be changed. Runs like a champ now and mileage has improved by 1mpg mixed driving.
