looking at a 05 King Ranch with 13K on it, just wondering if anyone knew if the lemon laws still apply for a vehicle once it has miles on it and switched owners. Want to get back to a Ford but some of the stories that I have read on the 6.0 PS have me worried. Like to have that piece of mind that if something did go south that it is backed up. I know the warrenty would still apply.
i had a business associate who had a 03 f250 with the 6.0 and had a ton of problems with it and he said Ford told him that if he had been the original owner not the second they would have bought it back from him,but I am not 100% sure if he was telling the truth, I have not heard of to many people having problems with the newer 6.0's just the 03's,good luck with your endeavor eithier way.
I bought a new 2005 6.0L PSD last June. Now have 14,000 miles on it. Runs like a top and haven't had a problem with the engine. I think there's a report that can be requested that lists all the problems reported or work done by a Ford dealer. Is that correct, anyone? An Oasis report?
Don't know what state you're in but, in NJ the Lemon Law runs out at 18k miles unless you can prove with lenghty documentation that the condition/conditions existed prior to the mileage limit.
I'm looking hard to get back to Ford. In 03 I bought a Cobra and a used Explorer. Then my fiance at the time had a Hemi and she wanted me to get a dodge as well, so I went with the 2500 hemi. Its been a great truck, never a problem and it can pull 8K lbs with ease. But the rear room and the mpg are terrible. Talking to another Ford dealer to see what kind of wigle room they have on their amarillo's. Wife likes the yellow, and she has the yellow firebird. Thanks for all the info. BTW I am in Florida...
